The production of our luminaires is guided by the principle of circular economy. From the responsible procurement of raw materials, to the disposal according to the WEEE directive and to the recyclability of our luminaires. This approach enables us to make our production even more sustainable and CO2-neutral in the long term.
Also with regard to our packaging, through the use of cardboard, we protect the environment by reducing processing waste and improving the quality of life while respecting mankind and the ecosystem.
Our goal is to extend the life cycle of our products so helping to minimise waste. This process will start from research and development that will conceive and design new more durable products, made with components which can be easily replaced by the end-user, disposable when at their life end accordingly to the instructions supplied with the product itself, thus favouring repair or reconditioning.
With a view to having a sustainable supply chain, 85% of the components wich compose the products come from domestic suppliers, thus reducing the impact of CO2 emissions into the atmosphere.
Exenia adheres to the Ecolight category consortium for the management of company waste and for the WEEE declarations and to the sector’s Ecodesign directive by displaying the symbols required by the regulations on product packaging labels.
